Bio

Giancarlo La Giorgia is a world-travelling wordsmith, video maker and occasional picture taker living in Montreal, Canada.

He has been writing since age five, when he penned — or rather, crayoned — his first book, a tale about an adventurous moose. Since then, he has written a bestselling book and produced dozens of articles, often with accompanying photography, for top consumer and trade publications in Canada, the US and Europe. His fascination with visual media has led to work in film, television and commercial video, which he continues to pursue.

When he isn't writing, reading, traveling or eating, he enjoys cycling, cooking, watching (and perhaps one day, making) documentary and independent films, and spending time with his ever-patient wife, Rita.
